GreenVETAfrica introduced to the EU Delegation in Nigeria and Ghana
GreenVETAfrica’s partners in Nigeria and Ghana at work to establish liaisons with other Erasmus+ projects active in the two West African countries and other relevant initiatives.
GreenVETAfrica had the opportunity to meet online the European Union delegation representatives in Abuja, Ms Esmé Stuart, Programme Manager Human Rights and Gender and Ms Maria Biskop, ERASMUS+ Focal Point in Nigeria, Dr Sabri Mekaoui, Programme Officer.
Adriano Mauro, Project Coordinator and Managing Director of AREA, introduced GreenVETAfrica planned activities and its ambition to ensure the green waste vocational programme will be accredited and replicated across the country to intercept unemployed youth needs.
GreenVETAfrica will ensure to liaise with fellow Erasmus+ projects active in Nigeria: DIGIPRENEUR, SmartStep, WITH, SEED4AFRICA and GSMESKILL
It will also liaise with the Nigeria Climate Change Response Programme (NCCRP) and the EU Youth Sounding Board.
In Accra, Whizzy Academy and Presbyterian Relief Services and Development were invited by Ms Marta Brignone, EU Focal Point in Ghana, to present GreenVETAfrica and meet fellow project Skilling Eco-VET.
