AREA

Project Coordinator

AREA is an SME based in Udine, Italy. It has a long experience working in Africa, focusing on knowledge and technology transfer, adapting innovative solutions to the local context and needs and providing technical training to SMEs; NGOs and VETs. It does not only coordinate GreenVETAfrica but it leads the piloting of the remote expert solution for trainers and learners, and it leads the branding and communication activities of the project.

Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA)

WP2 leader

LAWMA runs an “Academy” which provides waste educational services to the civil society, primary and secondary schools (summer schools) and industries. As partner in the project, it will transfer its wealth of knowledge to the VETs partners, through a Train-The-Trainer programme, and to offer dual-learning opportunities to the GVA pilot VETs learners.

Pan Atlantic University

WP5 leader

The Pan-Atlantic University (PAU), owned by the Pan-Atlantic University Foundation,  is a private, not-for-profit higher education institution located in Lagos Nigeria.  It started with the Lagos Business School in 1991 and later gained university status in 2002. The objective of education in PAU is the well-rounded formation of the human person. The Mission Statement of the University is: “to form competent and committed professionals and encourage them to serve with personal initiative and social responsibility the community in which they work, thereby helping to build a better society in Nigeria and Africa at large.” This dream encapsulates the purpose of the University. The execution of this project will be done in conjunction with the Institute for Industrial Technology (IIT), a social project set-up to address unemployment among urban male youths from families with limited resources within Lagos and its environs so that they have a brighter economic future. It provides high quality technical vocational training and in-company training opportunities through the dual vocational training system.

Asociación Mundus

MUNDUS bring on board their experience with Erasmus+ Mobility programs and network along with their vocational education pedagogical experience which will provide a strong foundation to the Train-The-Trainers programme.

Whizzy Academy

WP3 leader

Whizzy Academy, is a Digital Innovation Hub based in Kumasi, Ghana. It is active in several digital and micro-entrepreneurship trainings for youth and innovators across West Africa, and currently engaged in a Green project led by SNV and funded by the European Commission. Whizzy Academy will lead the Train the Trainers Work Package, injecting digital teaching and learning methodology. It will also contribute to designing the ICT modules of the VET pilots for learners.

Federazione CNOS-FAP

Contributing to WP3

The CNOS-FAP Federation is the National Centre of Salesian Institutions coordinating about 60 VET Salesian Centers in Italy. CNOS-FAP main activities are: Providing vocational guidance and counseling services for youth and adults; planning and delivering courses and modules in different fields, in the settings of initial and Higher Vocational Education and Training, and of adult education; designing and implementing continuous vocational training paths tailored to the needs of industries and of actors of the private sector.

Presbyterian Relief Services and Development
Contributing to WP3 and WP4 Presbyterian Relief Services and Development (PRSD) is the Entrepreneural, Rural Development and Relief Services agency of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana which includes Vocational and Technical Education and Training Institute. The Ramseyer Vocational and Technical Institute, Kyirapatre, based in Kumasi, is an accredited TVET provider and Competency-Based Training (CBT) Centre and operates under the PRSD. Ramseyer VTI has trained about 5,000 young people with employable skills. PRSD will contribute to design and pilot GreenVETAfrica Train of Trainers and the learners programme focused on Green Waste Management and Micro Entrepreneurship skills.
